Walking
From the city center of Durham, head towards the Durham train station. Once you reach the station, exit and turn left onto the A690 road towards the A1(M) motorway. Continue walking along the A690 until you see signs for the A1(M) North. After about a 30-minute walk, you will arrive at the A1(M) junction. From there, you can catch a bus heading towards Gateshead. Make sure to board a bus that indicates it stops at Low Eighton. The Angel of the North is located just a short walk from the bus stop.

From the Durham bus station, take the X21 bus towards Newcastle. This bus will take you directly to Gateshead. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. After you get off at the Gateshead Interchange, transfer to the Q1 bus heading towards Low Eighton. Once you arrive at the stop closest to the Angel of the North, it will require a short walk of approximately 10 minutes to reach the sculpture, following signs that direct you to the Angel.
