Walking
If you are starting from Durham City Centre, head towards the train station. From the station, exit onto North Road and turn left. Walk straight until you reach the A690 (also known as the Milburngate Bridge). Cross the bridge and continue walking straight, following the signs towards Gateshead. After crossing the bridge, you will arrive at a roundabout; take the first exit onto the A167(M) heading towards Gateshead. Keep walking straight for about 15-20 minutes until you see St Mary’s Square on your left. The Glasshouse International Centre for Music is located in this square.

From Durham Bus Station, take the Go North East bus service number 21 or 56 towards Gateshead. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. You will want to get off at the 'Gateshead Interchange' stop. From there, walk towards St Mary's Square by taking the exit towards the A184 (High Street). Continue straight, and you will see St Mary's Square ahead. The Glasshouse International Centre for Music is located in this square.

From Durham Train Station, catch a train to Gateshead. The frequency of trains is typically every 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Gateshead Station, exit onto South Shore Road and turn right. Walk along South Shore Road until you reach the A184. Turn left onto the A184 and continue walking until you arrive at St Mary's Square. The Glasshouse International Centre for Music is located there.
