Turn left and walk towards the traffic lights at the junction with Westgate Road. Cross the road and continue on Westgate Road for about 5 minutes until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the first exit onto St. Mary’s Place, continue straight ahead, and then turn right onto Northumberland Road. Follow this road until you reach Grey Street, then turn left. Walk down Grey Street, which will lead you to the historic Quayside area. Continue walking along the Quayside until you see the iconic Tyne Bridge. From the Tyne Bridge, head towards the left along the riverfront, and you will soon arrive at Castle Garth & The Black Gate, which is located near the intersection of Castle Garth and Black Gate.

From there, head left along the riverfront to Castle Garth & The Black Gate, which is just a short walk away.
