Follow the signs for the Durham Heritage Coast, and you will see the coastline.

Begin your journey at Durham train station, located at Station Approach, DH1 4RZ. Board a train heading towards Newcastle. Get off at Seaham station, which is roughly a 15-minute ride. Once you arrive at Seaham, exit the station and walk towards the coastline, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the road signs for Durham Heritage Coast and enjoy the scenic route.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Durham city center. Head towards the A177 and follow the cycling path leading to Seaham. This route will take you approximately 1 hour. Once you reach Seaham, follow the signs to the coast, which is a short ride away.
