If you are starting from Edinburgh Waverley Station, exit the station and head towards the High Street (Royal Mile). Once you are on the High Street, walk westward towards the St. Giles' Cathedral. After passing the Cathedral, continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach the junction with South Bridge. Turn left onto South Bridge, and you will find the South Bridge Vaults at number 30, just a short walk down the street.

From Princes Street, catch the Lothian Buses number 3, 5, or 7 towards the South Bridge. Get off at the stop named 'South Bridge (St. John’s Church)'. After disembarking, walk a short distance toward the South Bridge itself. The South Bridge Vaults will be located at 30 South Bridge, just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop.

Take the tram from any station along the route towards York Place. Get off at the 'St Andrew Square' stop. From there, walk south on South St David Street until you reach the junction with the High Street (Royal Mile). Turn left onto the High Street and continue walking until you reach South Bridge. Turn left onto South Bridge, and the South Bridge Vaults will be at number 30, a short walk down the street.
