Getting There

• Walking

  If you are already in Covent Garden, the street shows usually take place near the Covent Garden Market area. To get there, head towards the main Piazza, which is the bustling heart of Covent Garden. Look for the large open square surrounded by shops and restaurants. The street performers are often situated around the central fountain or along the walkways leading into the market. Simply stroll towards the large open space, and you are likely to encounter various street shows and performances.

• Public Transport

  If you are coming from a different part of London, you can take the London Underground to Covent Garden Station. Board the Piccadilly Line and disembark at Covent Garden Station. After exiting the station, take the escalator up, and you will find yourself on James Street. From there, walk straight ahead towards the Piazza, which should only take about 5 minutes. Once you reach the Piazza, you will see the street shows taking place nearby.

  If you prefer to take the bus, there are several bus routes that stop near Covent Garden. You can take buses 1, 9, 11, 15, 22, 38, 55, or 171. To find the nearest bus stop, check the Transport for London (TfL) website or app for real-time bus services. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the Piazza, where you will find the street performers. Be sure to check for any bus fares that may apply, which can be paid using an Oyster Card or contactless payment.
