    From Nairn, take the A96 road heading east towards Aberdeen. Continue on the A96 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the town of Keith. At Keith, take the B9018 road towards Dufftown. Follow the B9018 for about 4 miles, and then look for signs to Auchindoun Castle. The castle is located a short walk from the parking area on a hill. Keep in mind, parking may be limited, so arriving early is advisable.

    Take a train from Nairn to Keith, which usually takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Keith station, exit the station and catch a taxi or look for local buses heading towards Dufftown.
