After exiting Sunderland Metro Station, head southwest on St. Michael's Way, then turn right onto the A183. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto High Street West. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will find Sunderland Empire Theatre at 4-5 High St W, SR1 3EX on your left.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Newcastle to Sunderland. Head to the Eldon Square Bus Station and look for buses that go to Sunderland; the X34 and 20 are popular routes.
