Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Newcastle Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main entrance. Once outside, turn left onto Neville Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Quayside Road. Walk along the riverside, enjoying the views of the Tyne Bridge. After approximately 10 minutes, you will see the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art on your left. Continue walking straight until you see the Millennium Bridge. Cross the bridge, and once you are on the other side, take a right onto Dean Street. Continue straight ahead for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Side, where the Side Photographic Gallery is located at 5-9 Side, NE1 3JE.

  • Metro

    From the nearest Metro station, Monument, take the green line train towards Airport. Alight at the next stop, which is Central Station. Exit the station and follow the walking directions provided above from Central Station to Side Photographic Gallery.

  • Bus

    You can take the bus from various locations in Newcastle. If you are near Eldon Square, catch the Q3 bus towards the Quayside. Get off at the 'Quayside' stop. From there, walk towards the Quayside and continue as described in the walking directions above, passing the BALTIC Centre and crossing the Millennium Bridge, before heading towards Dean Street and Side.
