Car
If you're driving from Kirkwall, take the A965 road heading west. Continue on the A965 for approximately 15 miles until you reach the junction with the B9056. Turn left onto the B9056 and follow the road for about 4 miles. At the end of the B9056, turn left onto the A966 and continue for about 1 mile. You will see signs for RSPB Scotland Marwick Head Nature Reserve. The reserve is located at the postcode KW17 2NB. There is ample parking available near the entrance.

To reach Marwick Head Nature Reserve using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Kirkwall. You can catch the Stagecoach Orkney buses that operate services towards the west of Orkney. The most relevant bus route is the number 6, which travels towards Stromness. Get off at the 'Birsay' stop. From there, you'll need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to the nature reserve. Follow the signs towards Marwick Head and enjoy the scenic walk. Please check the bus schedule for the latest timings, as they may vary.
