If you're driving from Edinburgh city center, take the A70 road towards the west. After around 3 miles, take a left onto Craiglockhart Avenue. Continue straight until you see signs for Craiglockhart Castle. Parking is available nearby, but be aware of any parking restrictions in the area.

From Edinburgh Waverley Station, take the Lothian Buses service number 4 or 5 towards Balerno. Disembark at the Craiglockhart area (the bus stop is called 'Craiglockhart'). From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Craiglockhart Castle. Follow Craiglockhart Avenue and look for signs directing you towards the castle.

After getting off at the Craiglockhart bus stop, head southwest on Craiglockhart Avenue. Continue walking until you reach the main entrance of Craiglockhart Castle. The walk should take approximately 10 minutes and is well signposted.
