Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Selkirk, take the A7 southbound towards Edinburgh. After approximately 20 miles, you'll reach the junction with the A720, also known as the Edinburgh City Bypass. Merge onto the A720 eastbound and continue for about 6 miles. Exit at the A1 junction towards Leith/City Centre. Continue onto the A900, following signs for the city centre. As you approach Edinburgh, follow signs for the Old Town. Gladstone's Land is located at 477B Lawnmarket, Edinburgh EH1 2NT. Look for parking nearby, as street parking can be limited; consider using the nearby NCP parking facilities which may incur a charge.

• Public Transportation

  From Selkirk, take the Borders Railway service from Selkirk Station to Edinburgh Waverley Station. This journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Waverley Station, exit the station and walk towards the Royal Mile. Head up the Royal Mile until you reach Lawnmarket. Gladstone's Land is located at 477B Lawnmarket, Edinburgh EH1 2NT. The walk from Waverley Station to Gladstone's Land takes about 10-15 minutes.

  You can also take a bus from Selkirk to Edinburgh. Look for the X95 or 62 bus services that operate between Selkirk and Edinburgh. The journey takes about 1 hour and drops you off at various locations around the city center. Once you arrive in Edinburgh, head towards the Royal Mile and continue to Lawnmarket.
