Walking
If you are in the city center, start at the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station. Exit the station onto Market Street and turn left towards the Mound. Walk up the Mound until you reach the top, where you will see the National Gallery on your right. Continue straight onto the Mound, which leads to Princes Street. Once you reach Princes Street, turn left and walk along the street until you see the entrance to East Princes Street Gardens on your left.

From the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, walk to the nearby bus stop at Waverley Bridge. Look for buses that stop at Princes Street. Buses 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 21, and 22 will take you to Princes Street. Get off the bus at the Princes Street stop. After disembarking, walk towards the gardens which are located just across the street.
