Walking
If you are starting from York city centre, head towards the main railway station, which is located at Station Road, York YO24 1AA. From the station, exit onto Station Road and turn left. Walk straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Leeman Road. Continue walking for approximately 10 minutes, and you will see the National Railway Museum on your left. The Railway Museum Road Train operates from the museum, located at National Railway Museum, Leeman Road, York YO26 4XJ.

Bus
From York city centre, you can take the number 4 or 5 bus towards Acomb or Clifton Moor. Board the bus at the 'Museum Street' stop. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'National Railway Museum' stop. The museum is located right next to the bus stop, and you will find the Railway Museum Road Train just outside.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in York. Head towards the River Ouse and follow the cycle paths along the river. Continue towards the railway station, then take the cycle path leading to Leeman Road. The National Railway Museum is easily accessible by bike. Look for the designated bike parking area upon arrival.
