If you are near York Minster, start by facing the main entrance of the Minster. Walk straight down Minster Yard towards the street called Deangate. Continue on Deangate until you reach the junction with High Ousegate. Turn right onto High Ousegate and walk until you reach the junction with St. Helen's Square. Saint Helen’s Square will be directly in front of you.

From the York Railway Station, exit the station and head east down Station Road. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights at the junction with Leeman Road. Turn left onto Leeman Road, and then take a right onto the A1036 (Blossom Street). Continue straight until you reach the junction with Micklegate. Turn left onto Micklegate, and follow it until it becomes High Ousegate. Continue walking until you reach St. Helen’s Square.
