Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from York Minster, exit the Minster grounds and head south on Minster Yard. Continue straight onto Duncombe Place, and then take a left onto St. Leonard's Place. Walk along this street until you reach the junction with High Ousegate. Turn right onto High Ousegate and continue until you reach the traffic lights at the junction with Coney Street. Here, turn left onto Coney Street and walk straight until you reach the end of the street. You will see Shambles Market directly ahead on Silver Street.

  If you're coming from the National Railway Museum, exit the museum and head east towards Leeman Road. Turn right onto Leeman Road, then immediately left onto the footpath that runs alongside the river. Follow the path until you reach the Millennium Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead until you reach the junction with Micklegate. Turn left onto Micklegate and walk until you reach the junction with Coney Street. Turn right and continue walking straight until you reach Silver Street, where Shambles Market is located.

  From the York Railway Station, exit the station and head straight towards the city centre along Station Road. At the end of Station Road, turn left onto Toft Green and then right onto the footpath that leads to the end of the road. Continue straight onto George Hudson Street, which will lead you to the junction with Coney Street. Turn left onto Coney Street and continue until you reach Silver Street. Shambles Market will be on your right side.

  If you're near the York Bus Station, take any bus that heads towards the city center. Get off at the stop nearest to Coney Street, which is a short walk away from Shambles Market. From the bus stop, walk straight towards Coney Street, then turn right and follow the street until you reach Silver Street, where Shambles Market is located.
