Walking
If you are starting from York Minster, head south on Minster Yard towards Duncombe Place. Turn right onto Duncombe Place and continue straight until you reach the junction with Lendal. Turn left onto Lendal and walk until you reach the traffic lights. Cross over at the lights onto Station Avenue, and continue straight until you reach the end of the avenue. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Leeman Road. Continue straight until you reach the next roundabout, then take the first exit onto Tanner Row. Historic England - York Office will be on your right at 37 Tanner Row.

From the York Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Station Road). Turn left and continue straight until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit onto Leeman Road. Continue along this road until you reach the next roundabout, then take the first exit onto Tanner Row. The Historic England - York Office will be on your right side at 37 Tanner Row.

If you are near the city center, you can catch a bus from the bus stop at the Parliament Street. Look for buses heading towards Leeman Road. Get off at the stop near the junction of Leeman Road and Tanner Row. From there, walk a short distance along Tanner Row, and the Historic England - York Office will be located at 37 Tanner Row.
