Car
From the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, head east on Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. Follow the road until you reach the junction with Route 9. Turn south onto Route 9 and continue until you reach the east entrance of Zion National Park. Continue on Route 9 until you see the sign for Hop Valley Trailhead. Turn left at the sign and follow the dirt road to the trailhead parking area. Note that if you are visiting during the busy season, you may need to use the shuttle service from the Visitor Center to access certain areas.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take the Zion Shuttle from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. Board the shuttle and ride to the Temple of Sinawava stop. From there, you will need to hike along the Riverside Walk to connect to the East Rim Trail, which leads to the Hop Valley Trailhead. Please check the shuttle schedule in advance for timings, as it operates seasonally. Be prepared for a longer hike as this route will take you off the main paths.

For those already in the park and seeking a more adventurous route, you can hike in from the East Rim. Start your hike at the East Rim Trailhead, which is accessible via Route 9. From there, follow the East Rim Trail until you reach the Hop Valley Trail. This route requires a good level of fitness and should only be attempted by experienced hikers. Ensure you have adequate supplies, as it can be a long trek.
