Car
From the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, head west on Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. After about 3 miles, turn left onto the Mount Carmel Highway (UT-9 E). Continue for approximately 10 miles, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Look for the Lava Point Road sign on your right. Turn onto Lava Point Road and follow it for about 5 miles until you reach the Lava Point Overlook parking area. Note that Lava Point Road is typically only open from late spring to early fall, depending on weather conditions.
