Walking
From the main entrance of the Vatican Gardens, head towards the exit and make your way to Viale Vaticano. Turn right and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Cross the street and continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. Follow the riverbank to your left until you see the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach the Castel Sant'Angelo. Once there, take a left onto Via di Valle Corso, which will lead you to Piazza del Campidoglio. The Capitoline Museums will be located at Piazza del Campidoglio, 1.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Vatican Gardens, exit towards Viale Vaticano and head to the nearest bus stop located at Viale Vaticano. Take bus number 81 in the direction of 'Piazza Venezia'. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Piazza Venezia' stop. From there, walk towards Via del Teatro di Marcello, and then take a left onto Via di Campidoglio. Continue straight until you reach Piazza del Campidoglio, where the Capitoline Museums are located at Piazza del Campidoglio, 1.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a quicker option, you can request a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber) from the Vatican Gardens. Simply open your rideshare app or flag down a taxi at the nearest taxi stand. Enter 'Piazza del Campidoglio, 1' as your destination. The drive should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
