Walking
From the entrance of the Vatican Gardens, exit the gardens and head towards the main road, Viale Vaticano. Once you reach Viale Vaticano, turn left and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Angelica. Cross the road and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Via di San Pio X. Walk straight on this road until you reach the intersection with Via Giulia. Turn right onto Via Giulia and continue straight. You'll see Piazza Navona at the end of the street, just a short walk away.
Walking
Alternatively, you can exit the Vatican Gardens and walk to the nearest Metro station, Ottaviano. From there, take Metro Line A towards Anagnina. Get off at the next stop, Lepanto. Exit the station and walk towards Via Cola di Rienzo. Turn left onto Via Cola di Rienzo and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via del Corso. Turn right and walk straight until you reach Piazza Navona, which is a few blocks away.
Walking
For a scenic route, exit the Vatican Gardens and walk towards the Tiber River. Once you reach the river, turn left and follow the riverbank south. Continue along the river until you see the bridge, Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge, and once you are on the other side, follow the signs towards Piazza Navona, which will lead you through the beautiful streets of Rome.
