Once you exit the gardens, turn left and walk along Via della Conciliazione. Follow this road until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Domus Aurea. Your destination, the Domus Aurea, will be on your right.

    From the Vatican Gardens, exit towards the main entrance and walk to the nearest bus stop, 'Piazza San Pietro.' Take bus number 87 towards 'Piazza Venezia.' After about 5 stops, get off at 'Piazza Venezia.' From there, it's a short walk: go towards Via di San Marco, then turn onto Via della Domus Aurea. The Domus Aurea will be on your left.
