Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from the entrance of the Vatican Gardens, exit through the main gate onto Viale Vaticano. Turn left and walk along the street until you reach Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). From there, head towards the right side of the square to find the steps leading up to Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. Once at the river, turn left and follow the riverbank until you see the bridge 'Ponte Sisto'. Cross the bridge and continue straight; you will arrive at the base of Janiculum Hill. The entrance to Janiculum Hill is about a 10-minute walk from the bridge.

    From the Vatican Gardens, exit through the main gate onto Viale Vaticano. Walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Piazza Stazione San Pietro' (which is about a 5-minute walk). Take Bus line 115 towards 'C.so Vittorio Emanuele'. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Garibaldi'. From there, walk uphill for about 5-10 minutes, and you will reach the entrance of Janiculum Hill.
