Walking
If you are in the heart of Ba Dinh District, you can reach the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long by walking. Start at the intersection of Hoàng Diệu and Đội Cấn streets. Head south down Hoàng Diệu street for about 500 meters, and you will see the entrance to the Imperial Citadel on your left. The walk should take around 10 minutes.

Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Ba Dinh. After renting the bike, cycle towards Hoàng Diệu street. Follow the same route as the walking directions, heading south for about 500 meters. The Imperial Citadel will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules. Renting a bike typically costs around 20,000 to 50,000 VND per hour.

Public Bus
If you wish to take public transportation, you can catch bus number 09 or 18, which both stop near the Imperial Citadel. Board the bus at any nearby bus stop in Ba Dinh District. After a few stops, disembark at the Hoàng Diệu stop. From there, it is a short walk (about 200 meters) south along Hoàng Diệu street to reach the entrance of the Imperial Citadel. The bus fare is approximately 7,000 VND.
