To reach Monte Cristo by car from major cities in Eastern Washington, start by getting onto I-90 West if you're coming from Spokane or I-82 West if coming from Yakima. Take the exit towards US-2/Wenatchee. Continue on US-2 until you reach the town of Skykomish. From there, take WA-2 East and turn onto Monte Cristo Road. Follow Monte Cristo Road until the road ends at the trailhead. Please be aware that the last few miles may be on unpaved roads; be cautious and ensure your vehicle is suitable for this type of terrain.

Once in Skykomish, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Monte Cristo Trailhead, as there is no direct public transit to this remote location. Hiking
