Public Transit
If you're starting from the Federal Way Transit Center, board the Sound Transit bus Route 586 towards Kent. The bus will take you along Pacific Highway South (Highway 99) and then onto a more local route towards Kent. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the Lakeland Hills Blvd stop. From there, transfer to bus Route 183, which will take you directly towards Lake Fenwick Park. Ride the 183 bus for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the stop at 258th St & Lake Fenwick Rd. From the bus stop, it’s a short 5-minute walk west on Lake Fenwick Rd to reach the park entrance.
Walking
If you are near the Kent Station, you can start your journey on foot. Head east on W Meeker St toward 2nd Ave N, then turn left onto 2nd Ave N, which will turn into E Smith St. Continue walking until you reach 28th Ave S. Turn left on 28th Ave S and continue until you reach 25828 Lake Fenwick Rd. The park entrance will be on your right after walking for about 20-25 minutes. This route is approximately a mile long and will take you through some residential areas.
Biking
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from various rental stations around Federal Way. Starting from the Federal Way Transit Center, head east on S 320th St towards 28th Ave S. Connect to the Interurban Trail heading north and follow the trail until you reach the intersection with 258th St. Turn left onto 258th St and ride until you reach Lake Fenwick Rd. The park entrance will be on your left. This biking route is approximately 5 miles and should take around 30 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
