If you are driving, start from the Harpers Ferry Visitor Center located at 171 Shoreline Drive, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425. From the Visitor Center, head south on Shoreline Drive and turn left onto US-340 S. Continue on US-340 S for about 1.5 miles. Look for signs indicating the entrance to Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Once you enter the park, follow the signs to the parking area for the scenic outlook. Be aware that there may be a parking fee of around $15 for a private vehicle.

If you are using public transportation, take the MARC train from Washington, D.C. or the Amtrak service to Harpers Ferry. Once you arrive at the Harpers Ferry train station, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Visitor Center at 171 Shoreline Drive.
