If you are driving, start from the Visitor Center at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Head southwest on Washington Street, then turn left onto Potomac Street. Continue on Potomac Street until you reach the intersection with Harpers Ferry Road. Turn right onto Harpers Ferry Road and follow it for approximately 1.5 miles. You will see the Maryland Heights Trailhead on your left at 489-551 Harpers Ferry Rd, Knoxville, MD 21758. Look for the parking area which is available for visitors.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the MARC Train from Washington, D.C. or Frederick, MD to the Harpers Ferry station. Once you arrive at the station, exit and head southwest on Potomac Street. After about a 0.5-mile walk, take a left onto Harpers Ferry Road. Continue walking for about 1 mile, and you will reach the Maryland Heights Trailhead located at 489-551 Harpers Ferry Rd, Knoxville, MD 21758. Please note that there may be limited public transportation options, so check the schedule ahead of time.

For those who are already in the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and prefer to walk, head towards the Visitor Center. From the Visitor Center, take the steps down to the Lower Town area and head towards Potomac Street. Walk along Potomac Street until you reach Harpers Ferry Road. Turn right on Harpers Ferry Road and continue for about 1.5 miles. The Maryland Heights Trailhead will be on your left at 489-551 Harpers Ferry Rd, Knoxville, MD 21758.
