Getting There

• Walking

  Start your journey at the Wheeling Town Center, located at 1000 Main St, Wheeling, WV 26003. From the Town Center, head east on Main St for about 0.3 miles until you reach 14th St. Turn left onto 14th St and continue walking for another 0.1 miles until you reach the intersection with Market St. Turn right onto Market St and walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 28th St. Turn left onto 28th St and walk for approximately 0.3 miles. At the next intersection, turn right onto Jacob St and continue for about 0.2 miles until it turns into Mt Wood Rd. Follow Mt Wood Rd for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance of Mount Wood Castle and Cemetery, located at 53 Mt Wood Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  Begin at the Wheeling Transit Authority bus station located at 1012 Main St, Wheeling, WV 26003. Board the bus route that heads toward the South Wheeling area. After a few stops, get off at the stop near 28th St and Market St. From there, you will need to walk. Head south on 28th St for about 0.3 miles, then turn right onto Jacob St. Continue straight on Jacob St for about 0.2 miles until it merges into Mt Wood Rd. Follow Mt Wood Rd for around 1 mile until you arrive at Mount Wood Castle and Cemetery, located at 53 Mt Wood Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, start at the Wheeling Heritage Port, located at 12th St and Water St. Head east on Water St, then take a left onto 14th St. Continue on 14th St until you reach Market St, then take a right. Follow Market St until you reach 28th St, then take a left. Ride down 28th St until you reach Jacob St, then turn right. After about 0.2 miles, Jacob St turns into Mt Wood Rd. Bike along Mt Wood Rd for around 1 mile until you reach Mount Wood Castle and Cemetery, located at 53 Mt Wood Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003.
