Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Pinedale, WY, which is the nearest town to Sacred Rim Trailhead. Head west on WY-351 (also known as Pine Street) from downtown Pinedale. Continue straight for approximately 13 miles until you reach the junction with US-191. Turn left onto US-191 South. Drive for about 5 miles, then turn right onto the road marked for the Sacred Rim Trailhead. Follow this road for about 3 miles until you reach the trailhead parking area. Please note that this road may be gravel, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended.
Public Transportation + Hiking
If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a bus from larger cities to Pinedale, as local public transport may be limited. From Pinedale, you can either arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Sacred Rim Trailhead, as there are no direct public transport routes to the trailhead. If you choose to hike from Pinedale, it is approximately a 20-mile trek to the trailhead. Ensure you have a good map and plenty of supplies, as this route is not well-marked and may take a full day to complete.
