Driving
From Phoenix, take US-60 East towards Globe for approximately 60 miles. Merge onto AZ-88 North (Apache Trail) towards Roosevelt Lake. Continue for about 20 miles, then turn left onto AZ-188 and drive for 4 miles. Look for signs for Acacia Recreation Site on your right. Parking is available on-site; a day pass costs $12. Credit or debit card only.

Public Transportation & Car
Take a Greyhound bus from Phoenix to Payson. From the Payson bus station, rent a car or arrange for a taxi service to reach Acacia Recreation Site. Follow AZ-87 South for 30 miles, then turn left onto AZ-188 East and continue for 20 miles until you reach Roosevelt. Follow the signs to Acacia Recreation Site near Roosevelt Lake. Keep in mind that bus schedules may be limited, so plan accordingly. Car rental costs vary.
