From the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, board the Kaibab Rim Route (Orange Route). The shuttle runs frequently, ensuring convenient access to the trailhead. Alternatively, during the early morning hours, you can use the Hikers' Express Shuttle. There are no fees for the shuttle service. Once at the South Kaibab Trailhead, the hike to Ooh Aah Point is 0.9 miles.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, you can access the South Kaibab Trailhead via the Rim Trail. From Grand Canyon Village, follow the Rim Trail east towards Yaki Point. The distance to the trailhead is approximately 3.7 miles. Once you reach the South Kaibab Trailhead, continue 0.9 miles down the South Kaibab Trail to reach Ooh Aah Point. There are no fees associated with walking to the trailhead.

The taxi ride is approximately 4.3 miles and takes about 11 minutes. Expect to pay between $11 and $14 for the trip. From the trailhead, it is a 0.9 mile hike to Ooh Aah Point.
