Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, exit the building and head south towards the main pathway. Continue walking along the path for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with South Entrance Road. At this intersection, take a left onto South Entrance Road. Continue walking straight for about 0.2 miles, and you will see the Yavapai Geology Museum on your right, just before reaching the rim of the canyon.

Shuttle Bus
From the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, board the free shuttle bus (the Blue Route) that goes towards the Yavapai Geology Museum. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes. Stay on the bus for two stops and disembark at the Yavapai Geology Museum stop. The museum will be directly in front of you as you exit the bus.

Walking
If you are at the Bright Angel Lodge, exit the lodge and head east towards the main path. Walk along the rim trail for about 0.3 miles until you see the junction with South Entrance Road. Turn right onto South Entrance Road and continue for another 0.2 miles. The Yavapai Geology Museum will be on your left side, just before the canyon's edge.

From the El Tovar Hotel, head south on the main pathway that runs along the rim. Continue for approximately 0.4 miles. When you reach the junction with South Entrance Road, turn right and walk for another 0.1 miles. The Yavapai Geology Museum will be on your left as you approach the canyon.
