Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, walk southwest on the Rim Trail. Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Bright Angel Trail junction. Turn left onto Bright Angel Trail and descend into the canyon. After approximately 1 mile, watch for the Garden Creek junction sign. Turn onto this trail and follow it for about 0.5 miles to reach the waterfall. Note that this is a strenuous hike, and you should be prepared for a steep descent and ascent. Remember to bring water and snacks.

  • Public Transport

    From various points in Grand Canyon Village, take the free in-park shuttle to the Bright Angel Trailhead. From May 24 through September 5, 2025, several shuttle routes are in operation. The blue line takes a direct route from the visitor center to the village. From the Bright Angel Trailhead, follow the walking directions above to reach Garden Creek Waterfall. Note that while the shuttle is free, you will still need to pay the park entrance fee of $35 per vehicle.
