Getting There

Walking
From the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, head south on AZ-64 toward the South Kaibab Trailhead. Follow the signs that lead you to the South Kaibab Trail. The trailhead is approximately 1.5 miles from the Visitor Center. Once you arrive at the South Kaibab Trailhead, look for the trail that begins there. Cedar Ridge is about 1.5 miles down the trail, which is a moderate hike. The trail is well-marked, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the canyon along the way.

Shuttle Bus
Take the free Kaibab Rim Shuttle from the Grand Canyon Village. Board the shuttle at any designated stop in the Village and ride it to the South Kaibab Trailhead. Once you arrive at the trailhead, follow the South Kaibab Trail. Cedar Ridge is approximately 1.5 miles down the trail from the trailhead. The shuttle operates frequently, so you won't have to wait long to begin your journey.
