Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Grand Canyon Lodge, exit the lodge and head south on the main path towards the Visitor Center. Follow the signs directing you towards the South Rim. The walk is approximately 0.5 miles and should take about 10-15 minutes. As you walk, enjoy the scenic views of the canyon on your right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with S Entrance Rd, where the Grand Canyon Visitor Center will be directly in front of you.

Walking
From the Yavapai Geology Museum, exit the museum and head northwest on the path towards the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. Follow the signs that lead you towards the Visitor Center. The distance is about 0.3 miles and takes roughly 7-10 minutes. You will continue on the paved path, passing by several viewpoints along the way. Upon reaching S Entrance Rd, the Visitor Center will be on your left.

If you are at the Bright Angel Lodge, exit the lodge and walk east towards the main path that leads to the canyon edge. Follow the path south until you reach the junction with S Entrance Rd. The Visitor Center is located at this junction, approximately 0.4 miles from the lodge. The walk will take about 8-12 minutes, providing beautiful views and opportunities for great photos along the way.

Shuttle Bus
If you prefer not to walk, you can take the free shuttle bus service provided in the Grand Canyon Village. Find the nearest shuttle bus stop marked by a green sign, and board the orange line shuttle that goes towards the Visitor Center. The shuttle runs every 15-30 minutes. The ride will take about 10 minutes, and you will be dropped off right outside the Visitor Center.
