    Catch the free shuttle bus at any designated shuttle stop in Grand Canyon Village. The orange route services the South Rim Trail. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the 'South Rim Trailhead' stop. Once you get off the bus, follow the path leading to the trailhead, and you will be at the South Rim Trail.

    If you have a bike, start from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. Ride east on the paved bike path, following the signs for the Rim Trail. You will encounter scenic viewpoints along the way.
