Getting There

  • Driving

    From Hagarville, AR, head north on AR-123 for approximately 14.6 miles. Look for a clearing on the right side of the road, just past a cemetery and where Haw Creek runs alongside the road. If you reach Haw Creek Falls Recreation Area, you've gone too far. Parking is available in the clearing. Cross AR-123 carefully to reach the unmarked trailhead on the opposite side. There are no fees for parking or accessing the trail.

    From the parking area off AR-123, carefully cross the highway to the west side. Look for an unmarked trail that veers slightly to the right and heads uphill. The trail ascends steeply at first, then levels out near the top. Follow the trail as it winds around a large cliff face. Continue along the trail, navigating up, down, and around trees and boulders, until you reach the grotto. There are no fees associated with hiking to Pam's Grotto.
