Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location in the Arkansas River Valley, you will want to head towards Jasper, Arkansas. The Arkansas Grand Canyon is located along AR 7. Use a GPS or a map application to navigate to AR 7, Jasper, AR 72641. Once you are on AR 7, follow the signs for the Arkansas Grand Canyon. The scenic overlook is well-marked and provides stunning views of the canyon. Parking is available at the overlook area, and there are no entrance fees.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, first check if there are local bus services that operate in the Arkansas River Valley to Jasper. If you are coming from Little Rock or another major city, you might need to take a Greyhound bus to Harrison, AR. From Harrison, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Jasper, as public transport options may be limited. Once in Jasper, you can walk or take a local taxi to the Arkansas Grand Canyon at AR 7.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, biking to the Arkansas Grand Canyon is also an option, especially if you're already in Jasper. You can take AR 7 South, which is fairly bike-friendly. Make sure to wear a helmet and have proper lights if you're traveling in the evening. The ride offers beautiful views, but be aware of traffic. There are no bike rentals specifically for this area, so you will need to bring your own bike.

• Walking

  If you are already in Jasper, you can walk to the Arkansas Grand Canyon from downtown. Depending on your starting point, it is about a 1-2 mile walk along AR 7. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, especially during warm weather. The walk itself provides a pleasant view of the surrounding area.
