To reach Garni Gorge from Geghard Monastery by car, exit the monastery and turn left onto the road heading towards Garni. Once you reach Garni village, look for parking options near the entrance to the gorge. There may be a small parking fee that varies seasonally.

To use public transportation, walk to the main road from Geghard Monastery (about a 10-minute walk). Catch a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Garni from the nearby stop. The fare is typically around 200-300 AMD (Armenian Dram). The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Garni, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to Garni Gorge, which is about 2 kilometers away from the village center. Taxis may cost around 1000-2000 AMD for a short ride.

For the adventurous, you can hike to Garni Gorge from Geghard Monastery. Begin your hike by following the road that leads down from the monastery to the main road (about 10 minutes). Once on the main road, head towards Garni village, which is about 10 kilometers away. There are pathways that lead through the scenic countryside, but make sure to have a good map or GPS as some paths can be unmarked. The total hike can take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace, and you should wear appropriate hiking shoes.
