If you are already in Southbank, the Melbourne River Cruises are easily accessible by foot. Head towards the Southbank Promenade, which runs alongside the Yarra River. Look for Berth 2, which is where the cruises depart from. You can enjoy a pleasant walk along the river, taking in the sights and sounds of the area. The walk should take no more than 15 minutes depending on your starting point.

Tram
You can take a tram to reach Melbourne River Cruises conveniently. Catch the City Circle Tram (Route 35) or any tram heading towards the Southbank area. Get off at the 'Southbank Boulevard' stop. From there, walk towards the river and head down to the Southbank Promenade. Look for Berth 2, which is approximately a 5-minute walk from the tram stop. Note that tram rides are free on the City Circle Tram, but regular trams require a Myki card for travel.

Public Transport (Train and Tram)
If you are coming from a different part of Melbourne, take a train to Flinders Street Station. From Flinders Street Station, exit onto Flinders Street and walk towards the Yarra River. You can either take a tram from Flinders Street to the 'Southbank Boulevard' stop or walk directly to Southbank Promenade, which takes about 10 minutes. Once you are on the Promenade, look for Berth 2 where the Melbourne River Cruises operate.
