If you're driving from Hobart, take the A6 highway towards Sorell. After approximately 30 minutes, turn left onto the Arthur Highway (A3) towards Port Arthur. Continue on the Arthur Highway for about 55 minutes until you reach the turn-off for Coal Mines Historic Site at Coal Mines Road (C341). Follow Coal Mines Road for about 5 minutes, and you’ll arrive at the site. There is no entrance fee required to access the Coal Mines Historic Site.
