Getting There

  • Car

    From Launceston, take the A1 highway heading west. Continue on the A1 until you reach the town of Mole Creek. Take the exit toward Mole Creek and follow signs for Mole Creek via the C136. Once in Mole Creek, turn onto Alum Cliffs Track. The lookout is located about 15 minutes down this track. There is a parking area available at the start of the Alum Cliffs Track.

  • Public Transport

    Take a bus from Launceston to Mole Creek. Check the local bus schedules for times. Once you arrive in Mole Creek, you can either arrange for a taxi or a rideshare service to take you to Alum Cliffs Track, as public transportation does not directly reach the lookout. Alternatively, you can walk, which will take approximately 1.5 hours, covering around 5 km.

    If staying in Mole Creek, you can walk to the Alum Cliffs lookout from the town center. Head southwest on the C136 until you reach Alum Cliffs Track.
