From Tidal River, head south on Wilsons Promontory Road for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass through some beautiful scenery along the way. As you approach the end of the road, keep an eye out for a sign directing you to South Point. Turn right onto South Point Road and continue for about 1 kilometer. You will reach the parking area near South Point, which is the southernmost tip of mainland Australia.

Starting from the Tidal River campground, follow the 'South Point Track'. The trailhead is clearly marked near the visitor center. The hike is about 9 kilometers one way and will take approximately 3-4 hours. The trail is well-maintained, but be prepared for some steep sections. Follow the signs along the way that direct you to South Point. Once you reach South Point, take some time to enjoy the views before heading back the same way.

If you are using public transportation, take the bus from Melbourne to Foster, then transfer to a local bus that goes to Wilsons Promontory National Park.
