Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, make your way to the Wilsons Promontory National Park entrance on Wilsons Promontory Road. Follow the signs to Tidal River, the main hub of the park. Upon reaching Tidal River, continue driving along the main road until you arrive at the Pillar Point Lookout car park. The parking area is well-marked and provides a convenient spot to leave your vehicle while you embark on the walking trail to the lookout.

• Walking

  From the Pillar Point Lookout car park, follow the clearly defined walking trail leading to the lookout. The walk is approximately 2.2 kilometers one way and takes around 1 hour to reach the lookout at a moderate pace. The trail is classified as easy to moderate, with several shaded areas along the route for resting. Enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape as you make your way up to the lookout.

• Public Transport

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus service to Tidal River. Check local schedules for bus timings, as services may be limited. Once you arrive at Tidal River, you can either walk to the Pillar Point Lookout car park (approximately 2.5 kilometers) or use a taxi service if available. From the car park, follow the walking trail to reach the lookout.
