From Hallstatt, walk to the Hallstatt train station, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the center of the village. Once at the station, take the train to Schladming, which typically requires a transfer in the town of Bad Ischl. The total journey will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. After arriving in Schladming, exit the train station and head to the bus stop located just outside. Take the bus number 180 towards Ramsau am Dachstein. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes, and you should disembark at the stop called 'Ramsau, Schildlehen.' From there, it is a short walk (about 15 minutes) to the Dachstein-Gletscher cable car station.
