Getting There

  • Bus

    From the center of Thimphu, make your way to the Thimphu Bus Station, which is located near the Clock Tower. Look for the bus heading to Punakha or Wangdue Phodrang. The fare is quite affordable. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to get off at Dochula Pass. The bus ride takes approximately 40-60 minutes, depending on traffic. The bus will drop you at the main viewpoint area at Dochula Pass.

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can trek from Thimphu to Dochula Pass. Start your trek from the Tashichho Dzong area, heading north towards the mountains.
