Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Trebinje, head towards the main square, Trg Slobode. Walk straight along the main street, which is also known as Kralja Petra I. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Trebišnjica River. Once you reach the river, cross the bridge to the other side. After crossing, continue walking straight until you reach a T-junction. Turn left onto the road that leads to the border with Croatia. Continue walking for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the border control at the Ivanica border crossing. After crossing into Croatia, continue on the main road until you reach the town of Dubrovnik. Once in Dubrovnik, follow the signs to the Old Town. Sponza Palace is located at Stradun 2, right in the heart of the Old Town.

    From Trebinje, walk to the local bus station located near the center of town. Board a bus heading towards Dubrovnik (the bus service is quite frequent). The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Dubrovnik bus station, exit the station and walk towards the Old Town, which is approximately a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs directing you to the Pile Gate, the main entrance to the Old Town. After entering through the Pile Gate, continue straight until you reach Stradun. Sponza Palace will be on your left at Stradun 2.
