From Copacabana, head to the nearest metro station, Siqueira Campos. Take Line 1 (orange line) towards Uruguai and get off at the last stop, Jardim Oceânico. Transfer to the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) at the Jardim Oceânico station. Take the BRT line that goes towards Santa Cruz and get off at the stop 'Praça da Bandeira'. From there, take bus 433 (Alto da Boa Vista) which will take you directly to the Alto da Boa Vista neighborhood. Alight at the stop closest to the base of the trail.

If you are in the city center, take the metro from 'Cinelândia' station on Line 1 towards Uruguai. Get off at 'São Conrado' station. From here, walk to the nearby BRT station and take the BRT towards Barra da Tijuca. Change at the 'Praça da Bandeira' stop to bus 433 (Alto da Boa Vista) which will take you to the Alto da Boa Vista area, where you can start the trail.
