Setting Point is located on Anegada, the northernmost island in the British Virgin Islands. Unlike the volcanic origins of the other Virgin Islands, Anegada is a flat, coral and limestone island, rising only 28 feet above sea level. Setting Point is the main harbor and a charming hub for visitors, offering docking facilities and access to Anegada's attractions.Setting Point provides access to pristine beaches, including the world-renowned Horseshoe Reef, one of the largest barrier reefs in the Caribbean. The calm, clear waters are perfect for snorkeling and diving, with diverse marine species like sea turtles and eagle rays often spotted. The area is ideal for relaxation and aquatic activities, characterized by low-lying vegetation and occasional rocky outcrops.Beyond its natural beauty, Setting Point offers a laid-back island atmosphere with cozy beach bars and a welcoming local community. Getting There
Ferry
The most common way to reach Setting Point is by ferry. Ferries operate from Road Town, Tortola, and Valley, Virgin Gorda, to Setting Point. Tortola Fast Ferry (aka Smith's Ferry Service) typically provides these routes. A one-way ticket from either location costs approximately $35 for adults and $25 for children. Round trip fares are about $55 for adults and $40 for children. Note that ferries do not operate every day. Always confirm the schedule in advance.
Taxi
From the Anegada Airport (NGD), a taxi to Setting Point is the most convenient option. The ride is short, approximately 10-15 minutes, and should cost around $15-20. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Taxis are readily available at the airport.
